Impex Freight Services Ltd was founded in 1986 by Geoff Moore after working in all aspects of the industry for over 20 years. We are proud, now in our third decade of service, to be a private family run business managed by Nick and Natalie Hammond who with over 30 years of shipping experience maintain the same personal service and high quality.
Over the years Impex have been operators running groupage services to and from Europe specialising in Greece, Malta and Cyprus. We have also been leaders in running regular weekly sea consolidations to Indian Ocean Islands Mauritius, Seychelles and La Reunion.
As an established expert in the industry we are happy to work as suppliers and contractors on behalf of world leaders like TNT Special Services / Fedex , Kuehne & Nagel and Bunzl Retail supplying our National Health Service.

Ground
With our extensive network of hauliers, we can offer collections from anywhere in the UK and Channel Islands.
Whether you need next day express services or a more economical pallet line, we can deliver to your client or into a consolidators warehouse. We also undertake project work and with the use of Semi / Low-Loaders can move any large industrial, agricultural or construction machinery and vehicles.
Ship
Impex Freight can ensure you with intelligent planning and solutions to all your global cargo movements.
Our sea freight services include dedicated shipping container or groupage in 20′ or 40′ containers reaching all four corners of the world whether it be the Americas, Middle & Far East and Australasia. We are experts at moving ‘out of gauge’ cargo and work closely with the Tunnelling and Boring industry shipping Drill Rigs that weigh 50 – 100 tonnes.
Air
Impex Freight provides first class air export and import services for any type of cargo to anywhere in the world.
From consolidations on domestic flights, freighters or chartering, we utilise all major airlines to offer a complete range of airfreight solutions to arrival airport or through to delivered door.
Europe
We specialise in the Exportation and Importation of goods, connecting the UK to Europe, Scandinavia, Russia and the Baltics.
Whether it be 1 carton or a Full Load we guarantee daily departures to all major cities, working close with our agents and partners ensuring efficient and direct deliveries.
Consular / Documentation
T2L’S, ATR1’S, EUR1’S?? Our experience in the industry ensures that all shipments will be supported by the correct documentation needed to get the goods through any destination customs clearance.
As regulations and laws continually change, we will give up to date advice and offer the completion of such forms and documents avoiding your goods being held and delaying your business.
Customs Clearance
Imports to the UK from outside of the EU have to be customs cleared. And with the UK leaving the EU at the end of 2020 there will be clearance procedures required for goods to enter the country.
This is a very important procedure Impex Freight have many years of experience in. Dealing with HM Customs and Revenue applying the correct information and payments of Import Duty and VAT. We can clear goods at any air and sea port efficiently keeping the flow of cargo though our gateways and avoiding storage.

We have been importing essential medical and hospital supplies for the group since the 1980’s when they were known as Southern Syringe Services. Bunzl Healthcare, Shermonds and 365 Healthcare manage the procurement of more than 22,000 products to over 3000 healthcare organisations. We at Impex take great care and are proud to be a key part in this supply chain.

Our relationship with Kuehne & Nagel gives us the opportunity to utilise the services by Road into Continental Europe they supply. Daily departures to and from the UK gives us the power to deliver palletised shipments by standard trailers or for urgent orders dedicated vehicles. In return we are pleased to offer our expertise in Sea and Air services and are proud to be a K&N supplier adhering to their strict criteria and quality control.

We are proud to work with TNT Special Services for over 20 years providing Deep Sea and Air services as one of their key suppliers in the TNT network.
